Counting web-footed birds

The cranes are not the only creatures to be counted at Lake Hornborga. Since 1983, the field station at Lake Hornborga has also been counting grebe, ducks, geese, swans and coot. On five occasions in the spring and four during the autumn, counts are made in all parts of the lake. These counts are commissioned by the County Administrative Board and are included in the follow-up of the restoration of the lake.
